CryptoPilot Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
CryptoPilot is an iOS market companion for cryptocurrency price tracking, watchlists, manual portfolio notes, local price reminders, and optional AI-assisted explanations. CryptoPilot is not a trading platform, wallet, exchange, broker, custodian, or financial adviser.
Data Stored On This Device
CryptoPilot stores the following data locally on your device:
- Watchlist items, including coin identifiers and symbols.
- Manual holdings that you enter, including coin identifier, symbol, amount, average cost, note, and timestamps.
- Local price alert thresholds.
- Saved AI insight history, when you choose to use AI features.
- Local-only debug analytics events, such as app opens, market refreshes, watchlist additions, and rate-limit events.
This local data is used to power the app experience. CryptoPilot does not sell this data.
API Keys
If you add a DeepSeek API key, CryptoPilot stores it in iOS Keychain for optional AI requests. CryptoPilot can also store a CoinGecko key locally in Keychain, but v1.0 market requests use public CoinGecko endpoints without sending that key. API keys are not stored in plain UserDefaults and are not shown in app logs. You can remove saved API keys from Profile settings.
Market Data
CryptoPilot uses CoinGecko public market APIs to load coin prices, market data, charts, and related public information. Requests to CoinGecko may include public coin identifiers such as bitcoin or ethereum. CryptoPilot does not send wallet private keys, exchange credentials, or custody information because the app does not collect or support them.
Optional AI Features
AI features are optional. When you use AI, CryptoPilot sends your prompt and the necessary market context for that request to DeepSeek so it can generate an explanation. CryptoPilot does not send API keys as prompt content. AI output is informational only and should not be treated as investment, legal, tax, or financial advice.
No Wallet, Exchange, Or Trading Access
CryptoPilot does not ask for private keys, seed phrases, wallet connection approval, exchange login credentials, deposit information, withdrawal information, or trading permission. The app cannot place trades, custody assets, transfer assets, or connect to exchange accounts.
Local Analytics
CryptoPilot v1.0 uses local-only analytics/debug events stored on the device. There is no external analytics SDK in v1.0. You can view and clear local analytics/debug logs in Profile settings.
Data Deletion
You can remove API keys in Profile settings. You can view and clear local analytics/debug logs from Profile settings. Watchlist items, manual holdings, and price alerts are managed from their respective app screens. Deleting the app also removes app-local data from the device, subject to iOS system behavior.
Children
CryptoPilot is not directed to children.
